cannot uninstall old openipmi rpm on sles10

my system is SLES10
the install of openIPMI 7.8 failed
I found, i still have two old package fragments installed:
hp-OpenIPMI-7.6.0b-155.sles10
hp-OpenIPMI-7.7.0-111.sles10
but even
rpm -e --noscript hp-OpenIPMI-7.6.0b-155.sles10
failed.
error: %preun(hp-OpenIPMI-7.6.0b-155.sles10.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1

Please, does anybody know how to remove these
from rpm database ?
Thanks
Uwe

According to the manpage, the option is:

--noscripts

With "s" at the end. You can also try:

--nopre --nopost --nopreun --nopostun

In this case --nopre should apply.
