Changing QLogic 4GGP FC card to 2 GGP
Hello,
Is it possible change the FC card speed? We connected it to a port on a CISCO MDS 9507 board (I think this is the model we used). We can't get link on the switch side and on the FC card side, we get 3 lights Green, Orange, Yellow (Not in this particular order) and we can't seem to find what's going on. Any ideas what these lights mean? I can't seem to find documentation on this card (searching for it's P/N - PX2510401-22). I think the problem here is that I was told our switch only supports 2Gb cards.
Thanks for any hints/sugestions :-)

Re: Changing QLogic 4GGP FC card to 2 GGP
Shalom,
4GB/S cards are supposed to step down automatically.
You should see if the speed is hardcoded into the configuration file or the modprobe settins.
