howto manager the error of: oversizedEthernet frame

my linux echo the errors msg suddenly as:
eth0: oversized Ethernet frame spanned
multiple buffers, entry oxx length

why the ip size extends to over size? how to manager it?

Question are you connected to a multi vlan switch ???
If this is the case can you check if the port on the switch is multi vlan or dedicated , or does you card support multivlan (802.1 requirement ?) ???
