init 1 with Grub

Hi all,
i've a problem with Grub boot loader.
I' ve a redhat AS 4.1 with Grub.
I need to start up the server in single user mode.
Can anyone tell me why?

Hi Marco,
i have not a RedHat 4.1 on "my hand" but i read on manual this :
after GRUB startup screen
digit "e".
Then choose row with "kernel",
digit "e" in order to modify this row
and ,at the end of this row, add "single".
Then press "enter" to leave modify mode.
At GRUB screen digit "b".
