							Installing Fedora Core 4 on a DL-380 G2

						Hello,
I have some troubles installing a Fedora Core 4 on my DL 380 G2. The CISS driver is not working ans stops the installation process.
I tried to find a driver for the onboard 5i raid adapter, but I didnt find the good version on HP's Web site.(http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/family/model/1342.html?submit.y=8&submit.x=7〈=en&cc=us)
I think that the Fedora is based on a redhat, but i don't know witch version.
any help will be welcome, as you see I'm a complete newbie in the linux world...
the DL is updated with the FW update 7.20 CD
and I would like to use the distribution available at
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/4/i386/iso/
Thanks in advance and best regards from (cloudy) Paris.
Benoit.

FC4 can't handle it without disk preparation.
You need to boot the system and prepare disk, raid 5 whatever with the controller installed, then FC4 will be able to install itself onto disks hung off the controller.

						There are two logigal drives:
a mirror of 2 x 9 GB and a raid 5 with 4 x 36 GB. Today, Windows 2000 is installed, and I want to install a FC4 instead.
I don't need to change the Raid configuration.
Benoit.

						OK, It works now.
In order to install a FC4 on a DL380 G2 you
must enter at the boot prompt:
linux acpi=off
Bye,
Benoit.
