Solution
If you are using the original RedHat CDs to install, the CDs are probably at the level of initial release, i.e. at Update 0 level.
Download the latest set of CDs (RHEL 4.8 AS or RHEL 4 Update 8) from the RedHat Network webpages. You must have at least one RHEL 4 license activated in the RedHat Network to be able to access RHEL 4 CD images.
The new update levels usually add support for newer hardware and include a lot of patches, so you don't have to spend time downloading them with up2date after the installation is complete.
As I recall, the dual-core processors require at least Update 1 or 2 to be officially supported on RHEL 4; our earliest dual-core systems became unstable on heavy workloads when they were initially installed without updates. When we got the network connectivity for RHN and installed the updates, the problems went away.

Re: Installing RHEL as4 on a BL465c
thnxs for you information, we found a driver to be installed after the instalation starts ..
yo have to go to options on the first menu and then type "linux dd" and it's going to ask for a flopy qith the drives ..
we mount on it (it is a blade 465C) the floppy image ..
and puff! its done! .. the HD are already recognized
Thnxs a lot!
