						I have rhat linux es3 2.4.21-4.ELsmp
Previously this machine was running a version 7.23 agent that seem to have stopped working last year sometime. I don't look after the machine so i don't know the history on it.
The support matrix indicated that a minimum of 7.31 is required for this rh version
"EOS 12/07 Agt3
PHSS_33692=7.31
PHSS_32380
PHSS_33059"
So i uninstalled and found the rpm db was corrupt I dumped it and rebuilt it and now it seems ok
However when i get to the point where i install the 7.32.1 opc.rpm it reports
[root@firewalllogger 7.321]# rpm -i dce.rpm
Removing DCE RPC endpoint map
Starting DCE RPC portmapper: [root@firewalllogger 7.321]# rpm -i --nodeps OPC.rpm
warning: cannot get shared lock on /var/lib/rpm/Packages
Updating ITO version file /opt/OV/bin/OpC/install/opcinfo.
TRACE: Next free GID in /etc/group: 78
TRACE: Next free UID in /etc/passwd: 777
Error occurred during the initialization of ITO.
WARNING: Could not register VPO subagents. Execute manually:
/opt/OV/bin/OpC/opcagtreg -add /opt/OV/bin/OpC/install/itoagt.reg
IF i run ps auxw | grep -i rpm nothing has it and i can't see anything has it locked.
If i try and run
/opt/OV/bin/OpC/opcagtreg -add /opt/OV/bin/OpC/install/itoagt.reg
I get
Error occurred during the initialization of ITO.
I don't get an opcerror i don't get a trace file
It's not giving me a message back i hve no idea where to start looking to try and debug thisany ideas
