kernel problem
I have a RHEL v.4 AS server from a week we have a H.D problem on the server we change the H.D ( raid 5) and rebuild the system , we get a problem in the kernel ( kernel banic) we solve it by reinstalling the OS using the same partition format without formating the partitions ( the data retarined perfactly) after that we face a problem that the system restart suddenly and i check the messages file and get the following log , i do not recognize what is the cause of the problem and how to solve it .

Re: kernel problem
The system has bad hardware or the new configuration omits hardware the system kernel needs to boot.
Best bet is to restore the system to before the raid 5 expansion and try again with different methodology.

Re: kernel problem
Three suggestions:
1) Upgrade the kernel to a newer more stable version.
2) Boot the system off the hardware diag cd that it came with and fully test the system. Replace parts as needed.
3) Assign points to replies if you found them useful.
