Mail Server
We looking to change the mail srver from HP Unix to Linux.
What are the settings that we had to do in both server?
The Linux(4.8) server newly installed os. Please any one hepl me

as already Matti in HP-UX section, told you its depend on many thinkgs, and of xccourse on the old configuration. !!!

Try once Google and use 'configuring sendmail' as a keyword. You will find a lot of documentation and how to's.

All basic operations for sendmail are there.
You can not directly migrate configuration files from HP-UX to Linux. But sendmail will tell you what basic files to work with.
sendmail.org is one of the best documentation sties around.

Sendmail still works and is administered/managed exactly the same on Linux as it is on any OS.
Ditto with other MDA's (mail ddelivery) software.
The most important thing to still observe though are:
1) Storage - make thm fast and robust
2) Log management
3) Network safeties.
