network configuration on ASUS A7S266-VM

Hi all,

Not able to configure the network on ASUS A7S266-VM ( AMD Athlon CPU ) machine. the Network card in onboard and description given in the manual is SiS 961B Integrated 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet With Realtek external PHY. trying to install this on Redhat 8

Any suggestions

The modprobe utility might be of some use to you. Check the man page on that.

Better yet, for $20 you can by a bay networks card that I know will be detected by the install. I have three of them in two different Linux servers.

For the $20 a lot of hassle is behind you.

You should though be able to find source code for the driver on the Asus site and compile it yourself. Much too much work for me, I'd buy the Bay Networks card and be done with it.
