I'm familiar with sar and the sa1 script but I would prefer something more polished and less labor-intensive with integrated graphing and trending capabilities.
Any suggestions would be appreciated; it doesn't need to be free, just cost-effective.
Thanks,
John

SolutionAnyway, gtop will give you a nice gui look.
If you port the HP-UX sar script I'm attaching, you can collect data over time.
If you get it working and post it back to any of my Linux threads that will earn you a 10 point bunny.
See attachment.

There's a bit of setup time needed, but once you've configured things, it's a wonderful tool.

The output from ORCA certainly looks impressive. What does this software cost? Hopefully it's not priced up there in the stratosphere like BMC Patrol. And in the event that it is affordable, where can I get it?
