						hello everybody,
i've bought a HP proliant ml330 but when i try to instal fedora core 2, it's seems that the raid it's not compatible with the OS. the harddisk it's not recognise.
i have another problem with freebsd, that i cannot instal on the same server, because it's seems that another time there is a problem with the disk.
is there any patch or upgrading that can help me??
please help it's very important and urgent

Fedora Core may not be able to use hardware raid, but if the disk is recognized, you can use software raid in the disk druid option at installation.
All HP proliant servers have a cd that you can get or download. Its a boot cd that you have to use to set up the disk/raid prior to Linux installation.
Thats available in the server section of itrc and the support site. Start with http://itrc.hp.com and find the utility for your specific model.

ok thx i'll try! but this means that i cannot use fedora core? or it's means that with this cd boot i can finaly install fedora? because if the raid could be recognize I would be able to install fedora.

What RAID controller? A ML330 has none. It only has dual-onboard SCSI by default.
Unless you added one yourself? If so, what type?
