Hi Sakui,

I reinforce the point stated by Ivajlo.

Pehaps your media is corrupted.

How did you get your media ? Did you downloaded it ? If you downloaded, did you did a checksum with md5sum ?

Re: Red hat installation on LH 6000r

hi , I've encountered the same case . I am using LH6000r ,and the system begins sitting still once the installation processes the scsi or netraid detecting . the prompt is that system is loadig sym53cXXX.... drivers .

How to solve it ? Any suggestion will be warmly welcome .

Thanks

Re: Red hat installation on LH 6000r

Use Latest version of linux. Fedora or CENTOS

This problem is due to the driver issue. If you need RH9 only then you can go for HDD install or network installation. Dump the installation CDs to one disk and use that disk as installation.

you can get the installation options from the link http://www.linux.org/docs/beginner/install.html

http://centos.org/

Re: Red hat installation on LH 6000r

so may you tell me which linux version will the HP lh6000r suits for ? I may choose the right linux for this special machine .

I found a lot info but nothing could help me out of the problem ,and no one develops the driver for open source platform based on netraid 4m anymore .

Thanks

Re: Red hat installation on LH 6000r

Hello, i had same problem with red hat 9, downloaded from www.linuxiso.org.

And don't install to any pc.

You must try to download another version of redhat 9 (only the first cd, the other work correctly)

Hope helpful.
