rpc runtime error: Connection request timed out (dce / rpc)


Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 9)
2.4.21-53.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Nov 14 03:54:12 EST 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Three different nmmap scan o/p for rpc from three different clients.("111/tcp open sunrpc " is open common on all these nodes)
32770/tcp open sometimes-rpc3
32779/tcp open sometimes-rpc21

32774/tcp open sometimes-rpc11

32775/tcp open sometimes-rpc13


I get the following error from those three nodes from my VPO server

[/root] rpccp show mapping ncacn_ip_tcp:lpeld176p

mappings:

>>> rpc runtime error: Connection request timed out (dce / rpc)

See the response from a working client

I understand these are not linux standard ports? Any one know if those ports are configured at the VPO control agents.?

Any suggetion why the errors even though ports are open at the clients?

VPO server is running HP-UX 11.00
