set 100 Full on ml570 for SUSE 8
hello colleagues, does anybody know of any tool or how to set the NIC to 100 Full on compaq proliant server for SUSE 8. i have tried modifying modules.conf and insmod, but it doesn't work, it goes back to 100 Half. the network guys don't want it on 100HD or Autoneg for the switch ports. what are my other options in configuring the network card? does SUSE 8 have a built in tool? any assistance would be appreciated. thanks jedd

As root try mii-tool
first have a look at
man mii-tool
if that works for you check with ifconfig to see if do not have to many collisions after this change.

Hi Jedd,
Do you have the exact configuration of the switch port ? What is the NIC model ? In case it is an Intel Ether Express 100, are you using the eepro100 or e100 module ? What options did you setup in modules.conf ?
