Burn or test iso on the virtual CD/DVD ROM drive

Is it possible to burn or test iso image on the virtual CD/DVD ROM drive?

what does it mean to test ???

if like to copy some CD/DVD and create a ISO image, and them load it in the virtual drive, for testing before burning, sure that will work, but if the CD/DVD is protected i think it will not work, because you nned to overide the protection first.

i use poweriso for loading the ISO files on windows, and on the linux mount the iso via loopback interface.

I use ImgBurn to create ISOs or dump the image from media to an ISO, then mount the ISO as a virtual drive using DaemonTools or MagicDisk.

Thx, but what about ImgBurn if DVD media was created with a protection mechanismus?

Depends on the protection mechanism itself. In my experience, the ISO file will play fine in the virtual drive, but won't burn correctly to blank media. There are always little dd tricks you can try to overcome that problem...

i'm using a cloneDVD, without any problem.

if i create iso image i'm able to load to virtual drive or burn. But some cds/dvds required to play or run from physical drive.

That will all depend on the media you are trying to copy, and what copy protection it uses.

If you are trying to copy something protected by the DMCA, then I can't tell you how because that would be illegal.
