Can someone pls post a link about comparing of different virusscanner for Windows, but only corporate or enterprise edition.
We're looking for a best solution for our Windows server and clients.

Re: Comparing of different virusscanner

Thx, I didn't know that there is a BitDefender Free Edition.
Is it just for a home user, I mean for private using only?

Re: Comparing of different virusscanner

hi,

you need to check the licence condition,

i installed for my friends Awast home edition, there is license for 1 year, of course free if you are use it only for non buesiness work, so for home ...., after one year just requesting a new registration code.

I think the sameor similiar will be also for bitdefender.

Re: Comparing of different virusscanner

I just switched from AVG to AVast because AVG has become too bloated to run properly (IMO).

Clamwin seems to be quite interesting:

and it's free.

Has anyone tried it on the Windows Servers?

Re: Comparing of different virusscanner

hi,

thast ok, but i would never use a free version on the Windows servers, so you should use comercial enterprise antivirus product to protect the Windows platform.

but this is only some advice from me.

Re: Comparing of different virusscanner

Home users can use Microsoft's new product Security Essentials. It's free for home use.

Corporate ought to look at Microsoft's Forefront product. http://www.microsoft.com/forefront/en/us/default.aspx

It's been rated higher than McAfee and symantec.
