I have Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1installation ISO file:

 

SW_DVD5_NTRL_Win_7SP1_All_Lng_Patch_Client_Server_X17-23698.ISO

 

Howto extract srvany.exe from the Windows Server 2008 Resource Kit ?

Hi Chris,

 

There are many utilities which support .ISO format and you can extract the files.

 

I used WinRAR utility to do so. check this link

Hi,

 

I am not sure if the utility still available with windows vista onwards, but you should find the utility in windows 2003 ISO's under I386 folder and it is cmd-line tool, as said in previous post use winrar to open the ISO and just copy the required file to desired folder and copy the 'EXPAND.EXE' in the same folder and from cmd prompt run as below example.

 

Eg: "c:\>expand.exe srvany.ex_ srvany.exe"
