HP Proliant DL380 G7 Installation Guides
Hi,
I recently purchased a second-hand HP Proliant DL380 G7 and I do not have any license at all. Upon installing windows 7/8/10, it failed with error messages: "we could not find any drives. To get a storage drives, click Load driver." The server has 8 drives and none of them were being listed.
I saw this youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnBy3pjAq3k) where he demos how to load the driver but I was not able to do it.
The HP Proliant DL380 G7 I purchased does not have SmartStart. Do I need to configure the drives first before I start to install? Or is there any firmware update I need to apply before I can even do windows installation?
Any help is really appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Danmes.

Re: HP Proliant DL380 G7 Installation Guides
Hi Danmes,
Thanks for posting your query in HPE Community.
If you are using DVD supplied by Microsoft to install the operating system, you will need to have the disk drivers so that OS detects the drives at the time of installation. Smartstart disk has them so you don't need them seperately if you are using smartstart disk.
Please configure the drives first before you can install Windows.
You may want to review the manual to get more info:

Hope it helps
