Installation problem with imac os9.1 and HP laserjet 6mp printer

Hi:

I was given a laserjet HP 6mp Printer with and ethermet attachment. I've downloaded the proper dirver, but i cannot get the desktop utility to select the printer. I am able to change the generic printer to the laser jet 6mp icon, but in the lower dialog box I cannot get the computer to specify my printer. When I click on change or create I get the next dialog box, but it is blank and therefore i cannot choose my printer. Please help. I would very muvh like to use this printer. if i am in the wron forum, please direct me to the right place to get the answer.

Unless someone here happens to be Mac-savvy, you'll need to find a Mac printer forum somewhere on the WWW. I'm sorry I'm Mac-illiterate.
