LH-Pro blue screens with MS Windows NT 4.0 RCMD utility
The company and department that I work for has ownership of 19 pairs of servers
in the 14 state U S WEST region, running Windows NT 4.0 server with SP4. I
have been instructed to not use the RCMD utility because this will blue screen
the server. Is there any documentation to this? Is this a problem between the
hardware and the software or just with Microsoft?

Re: LH-Pro blue screens with MS Windows NT 4.0 RCMD utility
Hello William,
There are some known problems running the rcmdsvc.exe utility from the Resource
Kit. The server can crash with a STOP 0x0000000A. There isn't a fix or
workaround right now other than disabling the service via Control Panel and
then removing it. This is documented in a Microsoft technical article -
Q247901. You might want to stay away from it since there are known issues and
Microsoft does not offer any official support for the Resource Kit utilities.
Good luck,
Jamie Hughes
