SolutionUpgrading from Windows Server 2019 to Windows Server 2022 typically requires a separate license for the newer version. OEM licenses are typically tied to the specific version of the operating system that was pre-installed on the hardware when it was purchased. In most cases, OEM licenses do not grant you automatic rights to upgrade to newer versions of the operating system.

Re: License availability for upgrade from Windows server 2019 hpe oem to 2022
After purchasing the Windows 2022 OEM license when purchasing the server, I received a new WINDOWS 2019 media and license using 2022 COA through the hpe downgrade site due to compatibility issues with the software. In this case, is the existing 2022 license not available?

Re: License availability for upgrade from Windows server 2019 hpe oem to 2022
It's important to note that the specifics of licensing agreements and downgrade rights can vary, so it's always recommended to refer to the license terms and conditions provided by Microsoft or consult with their support or HPE support to ensure you are following the correct procedures and staying compliant with your licensing agreements.
