Problem when running hpteam.cpl and klick "HP Network Team"

Hello everybody,

I´m encountering same Problem. When running hpteam.cpl and klick "HP Network Team", I get an error "cpqteam.exe has stopped working". Klick on singele NIC doesn´t make any Problem.

Environment:
Windows 2008 Server Enterprise with Exchange 2010 (2 Servers with same config, both have same Problem)
Problem occured after installing PSP 8.6

Any idea how to solve this?

Re: Problem when running hpteam.cpl and klick "HP Network Team"

I had the same problem with Network Configuration Utility version 10.10.0.0 (9 Sep 2010, cp012994.exe), which is included in PSP 8.60, and I had to step back to NCU version 10.0.0.0 (27 May 2010, cp012333.exe), which works correctly.

Re: Problem when running hpteam.cpl and klick "HP Network Team"

I found this solution:

VLANPromiscuous Parameter is missing in Registry!

I navigated to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Find the key (folder) that represents your NIC Team (for example 009), which you can find by looking for the â TeamNameâ value under each key until you find your team.

Create a new String value (REG_SZ) called:
VLANPromiscuous

Set it to 0 (disabled/default) or 1 (enabled).

That fixed the Problem!!!

Strange thing: Other Servers with Windows 2003 or Windows 2000 had the same Message in Eventlog, saying that the Parameter is missing, but none of them resulted in Crashing Application cpqteam.cpl

Anyway, its fixed now.
