This is an excellent white paper, "Improving Availability and lowering TCO with HP Integrity Servers and OpenVMS" please notice the box on page 4 which is quoted in the message below. HP OpenVMS on Integrity servers is 59-84% less expensive than SUN and IBM!

I recommend that if at all possible you print this and give it to your managers since once again this supports the information in the other white papers that were previously done by TechWise.

HP OpenVMS on Integrity servers have significant TCO advantage over IBM and Sun

I have attached a copy of the new TCO white paper for your reading pleasure. This will also be posted on the OpenVMS external web site in the TCO white paper area and have a pointer to it in the OpenVMS on Integrity area of our web site. We will also be doing additional awareness activities over the next couple of weeks e.g. newsletters, distribution to Ambassadors, and more, as we did with the TechWise TCO white papers in the past.

This white paper is a great complement to the TechWise TCO white papers that have been developed over the past couple of years, as we now have a second industry analyst stating that OpenVMS has a significant TCO advantage over IBM and Sun.

Here's just one quote from the new TCO white paper:

Based on typical mission critical scenarios, HP OpenVMS running on HP Integrity servers is 59-84% less expensive, more available, more secure than competitive configurations from Sun and IBM respectively.

Now that's a very compelling statement!

lots of excellent stuff here.
Unfourtunally there are people so blinded by the Sun that real facts have no relevance and others that minimise purchases from hp because they are competitors :-(

All we can do is provide the information and the encouragement for them to look at the facts. If there is willing blindness there is very little anyone can do other that that.
