error when running the command product
I'm working on a DS20 running 7.2.2. when trying to run the command product show product I'm getting this error "error opening SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]PCSI$ROOT.PCSI$DATABASE;1 as input". Did anyone face this problem before. Thx in advanced.

it has gone missing, you might start looking
at your BACKUP data.

Silly question, did you just install a PCSI eco? You'll need log out and in again.

check, if the PCSI files have version number 1, if not rename to it.

Thx all for your replies.
I checked the pcsi files they have all the version 1, but I didn't find SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]PCSI$ROOT.PCSI$DATABASE;1.
I installed 4 patches and not only "logged out", I did reboot to the machine and I was getting the same error.

replace a lost file. But you've probably
figured that out for yourself.
I assume that this data base is created when
VMS is installed, and no one should have
deleted it. I doubt that there's a way to
recreate it (other than installing VMS
again), but someone else may know more than
I.
