1) backup
2) check the backup
3) set vol/rebuild=force

Ian,

You mention the existence of DFU V3.1 -- is it available somewhere for download yet? Give the nature of the fix, it would be nice to replace the DFU V3.0 that I'm using now.

Ian, I would also like to know where DFU V3.1 since V3.0 is on FREEWARE60_1.

the latest and greatest DFU will be on FREEWARE V7 which ships with VMS V8.2. When it will appear on the web site I know not.
