Hard to navigate + Question on VMS TCPIP config

To site designers: hard to navigate.

I just want to ask a question to anybody who could help but cannot fine suitable place to post my question. What are the "boards" mentioned in help? Where is the board related to OpenVMS and TCPIP? So I ask my question here.

To OpenVMS / TCPIP specialists:

It appears that OpenVMS TCPIP startup remembers old network interfaces already removed from the box, in particular, RE0. Every time on VMS startup error messages are displayed about missing interface. This does not prevent the system from correct working but it does not look nice. I scanned all TCPIP* files and directories but found no reference to RE0. Neither was found within TCPIP configuration utility. Can anybody tell me, what is the mystery and how can I remove TCPIP's dreams about missing interface?

Boards are where you can post new topics.  Categories contain boards and items.

You should have started at the top and looked for the logical forum organization.  Or did a forum search for OpenVMS.

Or look at this topic where the old ITRC tree was laid out:

(I'll ask the moderators to move your topic there.)

Not a very detailed description of anything.

      tcpip show version

> [...] I scanned all TCPIP* files [...]

With my weak psychic powers, I have no idea what "all files" means to
you, or how you "scanned" them.

> [...] OpenVMS TCPIP startup remembers [...]

   Normally, yes.

> [...] TCPIP configuration utility [...]

   What is this?

I'd probably start with "SYS$MANAGER:TCPIP$CONFIG.COM", and, within
that, "1  -  Core environment", and "2  -  Interfaces".  If that failed,
I'd probably look into "TCPIP SET NOINTERFACE" and "TCPIP SET
CONFIGURATION NOINTERFACE".

      TCPIP HELP SET INTERFACE
      TCPIP HELP SET CONFIGURATION INTERFACE

> [...] how can I remove TCPIP's dreams [...]

   Memories, not dreams.
