Re: how to test or set port 1 on 90L+ server

Hi,
I ususally open a connection to TS via DecNet using follow command:
$ NCP
connec via phys addr
Then you can show port with command
SHO PORT
You can set port with
SET
and answer to requests
You can reset a port with
RESET

You can get access to the 90L+ prompt through any port configured as terminal or, if all ports are configured as printer, you can get access through remote console via MOP (the exact command depends on the DECnet version you are using, Phase IV or Phase V/OSI).

At the 90L+ prompt (->):
1.- insert the command SHOW and press return (a list of the available options will be showed)
2.- Select the port you want to see (1 to 8 or P for a resume of all ports).

In the same way you can use the command SET to configure a port.

I attach you a zip file with the Operator's manual of this DECserver.
