Re: Ian Miller the VMS King :-)

I think you math is wrong ;-)

a 2-node cluster will do 2*24*7 or 2*24*356
a 3-node cluster will do 3*24*7 or 3*24*356

you make a shame of VMS uptimes!

on average 9 DAYS per year not-up!!!

... either that, or you should leave the beer till after you type such numbers!!

Cheers.

Have one on me.

Re: Ian Miller the VMS King :-)

mmmmm.... beer! :-)

Tonight, I think I will be sampling fine product of Newcastle-upon-Tyne brewery (home of Newcastle Brown Ale) - a special called Blue Star - well worth hunting for.

I've changed my sig slightly.

Uwe:

3rd choice: this one _I_ really could not resist!!!

Ian,

I am at the moment at Trappist White, a lovely Wheat beer.
(only six monastries worldwide - 5 in Belgium & 1 in the Netherlands are allowed to carry the name Trappist, this is the Dutch one)

So let's (virtually) touch glasses and:

Cheers.

Have one on me.

Re: Ian Miller the VMS King :-)

(virtual clink of glasses)
Actually its called "The Newcastle Star" 7.5% and it won an international award in the strong ale category. Dark and very tasty.
Your Trappist White sounds good too :-)

Then again, Volkmar,

You Germans have Weizenbier, and whether you prefer Dunkles, Hefe, Klares, oder Champanier, (or, like me, to vary amongst them), that sure is some very good stuff as well!

Zum Wohl.

Ich spende der naechste.
