OpenVMS Management Station running on WXP64

Can't install the product on WXP64 running on AMD Athlon - the product wants a different version of FX32 :)

Any thoughts appreciated - or perhaps a port from HP would be good too!

Re: OpenVMS Management Station running on WXP64

Milton,

according to http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/argus/
the software runs on W2000 and WXP. FX32 was the Intel-Emulator running on WindowsNT/Alpha to support images compiled andlinked for Intel.
I don't understand, what that has to do here.

Milton, after rereading your post I noticed the :-), so you want a sort of FX32 to let the 32bit images run on 64bit... sorry I'm just off on vacation..

Hi Milton,

Long time, no hear! (such is the reliability of OpenVMS? ;-)

Please log a case with your local CSC so the issue can be formally reported.

Re: OpenVMS Management Station running on WXP64

Hello John (and the others)

The point of FX32 is that, when I try to install the product on a WXP64 PC, the product fails to install and gives the message with FX32 - it is, perhaps, internally confused, hence the :)

As I am using the product to connect to an Encompass-licensed DS10L server used for personal purposes, I don't think that CSC will be interested as there is no support contract.
