Re: Patches and fixes
Did you check the condist?
AFAIK, compilers, etc. are rarely patched. Just install the latest version.

Re: Patches and fixes
Layered Product patches - if available - would be found on the ITRC FTP server:
ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/openvms_patches/layered_products/alpha/

Re: Patches and fixes
Not exact, I want the info that you get after Analyse/Image.
TCPIP$PING.EXE
image name: "TCPIP$PING"
image file identification:V5.4-15C
I am interested in V5.4-15C special the 15c part of it.
I hope I can find it some where.

Re: Patches and fixes
you could also 'Browse' the OpenVMS patch list in ITRC for your desired version of OpenVMS, this will also list patches for 'layered products'.
The image file identification is NOT consistently available from the patch descriptions (e.g. TCPIP patches typically include this info in the Deliverables: section of each correction, the newer OpenVMS patches also include this info in the FILES PATCHED OR REPLACED: section).

Re: Patches and fixes
Thanks i will.
Ian
We are planning a update to vms 8.2 next year, i am busy to invest what we use.
With product sh product/full i got also the latest patch info, but the vmsinstal.history file does not show patch/fix info.
Therefore i posted this question.

Re: Patches and fixes
if you would have installed some product patch kit via @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL, it would also have shown up in VMSINSTAL.HISTORY, e.g.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Product Information | Installation Information
------------------------------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------------
Name | Mnemonic | Version | Date | Status| IVP | Node | Installer
------------------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------
| | ALPHA_NOTES_ECO1 | 2.5 | 27-JUL-2004 | S | S | AXPVMS | SYSTEM

Re: Patches and fixes
the entry in VMSINSTAL.HISTORY is created by VMSINSTAL.COM, so any kit installed with this procedure will have an entry in this file.
If products use another mechanism to provide patches/updates, then will not find this information. All Digital/Compaq/HP products and patches should use the standard installation procedures (VMSINSTAL or PRODUCT INSTALL)
