Where can I find patch DEC-AXPVMS-VMS722_LAN-V0600

I am required to install DEC-AXPVMS-VMS722_LAN-V0600 for DEGXA gigabit controllers to work on VMS 7.2-2 (yes, I know that's old).

But the latest V7.2-2 LAN patch I can find is DEC-AXPVMS-VMS722_LAN-V0500. Does anyone know where I could get LAN V0600 ?

Try http://ftp.hp.com.au/ to see if you can reach the old Sydney CSC ECO pages. I can't from where I am at the moment, but that might just be firewalls and filtering because it looks like an FTP address - note that the leading http:// is required.

If not, I guess that means the HP corporate network police have finally found and killed it :-(

The servers are accessible (though not by the path John provided), though the newest LAN patch posted there is axpvms-vms722_lan-v0400--4.README.

Y'all may be out of luck here with this combination; as that kit might not have been released.

If you have a support contract, ring up HP.

Or maybe it's time to upgrade to V7.3-2, or to current?

Or a DEGPA, as I see that is listed in some of the LAN patches that are posted?

Or maybe Fast Ethernet isn't so bad?

been there, couldn't locate it either.

And even HP couldn't find it...

I went for a DEGPA ultimately.

I do - as probably some others - keep a database of requested (DEC/COMPAQ/HP internally until Mid-2004) and released patches and I can confirm, that VMS722_LAN-V0600 seems to never have been requested nor released.

I also must confirm, that the HP Sydney Customer Support center pages - as referenced by John - are currently not reachable. The pages did work sometime last week, so the question is, is this just a network problem or have the servers finally be de-commisioned ? Those pages did contain a lot of useful information about older OpenVMS patches !

Hi All,

from the info I can find, the DEGXA is supported from OpenVMS V7.3-1 with VMS731_LAN-V0600 installed.

So no support exists in V7.2-2 for this device.

Twas wandering around on the Sydney site pages via Mac OX X ftp client (even Finder, which makes it easier) yesterday. Swap in ftp for http in John's posting, and off you go. The patches were under /pub.

I'd expect this stuff will get pulled down at some point, as HP has stated they're is on a trend to consolidate the servers and sites.
