who have vms tcpip v5.3 install kit?

i want to install tcpip version 5.3 into vms 7.3-2 platform for oracle 9i installation, but i can't find tcpip 5.3 at over around,who can give me?
if you have please tell me how to download!

Hi,

Since you have VMS 7.3-2, I suppose you also have the VMS installation CD.
On that CD, there's also the TCP/IP V5.4 kit.

On the other hand, TCP/IP is automatically installed (not configured, mind you) with VMS nowadays.

as Kris posted you can find TCP/IP on VMS CD-ROM. However you can also find V5.3 here

the "-4" in the file name denotes a patch kit, i.e. this only installs over an existing installation.

With VMS 7.3.2 you will need install TCP/IP 5.4, some older version wil be removed. You can't maintain older versions of TCP/IP.

We have run into some bugs with tcp/ip 5.3
I recommend version tcp/ip version 5.4.

To install tcp/ip version 5.4, shutdown and boot from the OpenVMS v7.3-2 CD-ROM.

1) Upgrade, install or reconfigure OpenVMS Alpha Version V7.3-2
2) Display products and patches that this procedure can install
3) Install or upgrade layered products and patches
4) Show installed products
5) Reconfigure installed products
6) Remove installed products
7) Execute DCL commands and procedures
8) Shut down this system

I think option (3) will let you select
Install Digital TCP/IP V5.4? Y

you can just shutdown yr existing tcpip, mount the CD and install using PRODUCT INSTALL (you will have to reboot afterwards)
