about Tr64unix 4.0G warning get_cntrs

Hi
the system basic information.
tru64Unix V4.0G PK4 ASE.
ASE monitor this net primary interface.
There is a lot of warning message in daemon.log
"ASE: local HSM Error: get_cntrs: Error reading cntrs"

which process or function cause it and How to find it's root cause.
Thanks
Jack

Looks like HSM storage controller is the culprit here.

Previous reply is totally of bounds...
HSM = ASE Host Status Monitor (not HSZ or HSG storage array)

The ASE daemon complains about not being able to read the packet count on the monitored LAN interface.
What type of interface is it, tu, ee or fta ?
What count do you see with 'vmstat -i' ?
Are you also running DECnet over this LAN-interface ?

Thanks Johan.
ASE monitor Primary interface nr0(alt0,alt1)
ASE ignore backup interface ee0
There are two (vmstat -w 300) processes.
No DECnet over this LAN.
I guess this messags is caused by netrain.
but it's just guess, I haven't evidence.

Thanks
