ES40 PCI Backplane
I am having fan problems on a ES40 fan 3 and fan 6 are reporting as bad...
I believe the problem to be with the PCI Backplane...
I have in stock a backplane with rev D04 and the backplane currently in the system is a rev b03.... Can I use the do4 rev board...what are the differences?

Re: ES40 PCI Backplane
There are two types of PCI backplanes:
54-25573-01 PCI backplane, 10-slot
54-25573-02 PCI backplane, 6-slot
As you can see, difference is in number of slots.

Re: ES40 PCI Backplane
Forgot to say: hardware revision is not important.
Read the part number from faulty PCI board and replace with same part number. You can also replace 6 slot board with 10 slot board.
