Suggestions on configuring a DS20E

I'm rebuilding a DS20E from the ground up.

It has a KZPCC-CE 3 channel RAID controller.

For the main disk array I have considered
going with either a RAID5 array of 5 disks and
one hot spare, or going with something like
2 each 2 disk RAID1 arrays to get a bit more
performance.

Ideas ?
