Tru 64

Does anyone know of a good terminal service ie...like telnet or ssh with a gui interface.
I need for my users to be able to point and click when connecting remotely into our new Tru 64 alpha server from their desktop PCs

Hi,

we are using Reflection for X for graphic applications. What do you mean with click and point? Please specify.

Re: Tru 64

Hi Paul,

I assume when you say point-n-click you are looking for cut-n-paste functionality using the mouse to increase a user's productivity. There are many Windows/PC Terminal emulator packages out there - some of the recommended ones are KeaTerm and PowerTerm which is on the Pathworks32 Client distribution, and one of my favorites Putty. Putty is shareware and is available for download from the following WEB URL.

http://www.guckes.net/putty/

Unless you specifically need to use an Xterm, Dtterm, DECTerm type X11 Terminal emulator or X11/Motif/CDE type GUI app's I'd not go to the trouble of installing a PC Xserver package like ReflectionX, or Exceed on a Windows/PC to just get Terminal emulation.

Hope that helps,

Re: Tru 64

When I say point and click, I need for the user to feel like they are working on the box right from their desktop. They should be able to drag, copy, etc....

Thanks to all who replied. I will look at some of the packages you guys recommended and get back to you.
