TRU64 UNIX version changing

I use TRU64 UNIX version 4.0f for my application i want to use TRU64 UNIX version 5.1B. What are the possible problems

Please check the Release Notes for 5.1B, support for older hardware was retired (www.tru64unix.compaq.com -> documentation -> 5.1B -> release notes)

Ask the software vendor if the current used software is supported for 5.1B.

You have to check this with YOUR Application vendor. there should be no other problems

I forget to mention that if you are not going to do a fresh install for V 5.1B, you have to follow the Update Installation paths.
In order to reach Version 5.1B, the best way (I have tried it) is
4.0F --> 4.0G --> 5.1 --> 5.1B
There are other paths but it depends on what OS versions CDs do you have.

In fact I have encountered no problems to use TRU64 UNIX 51B with my application except for the management of the optical devices. This last one is based upon a new product of usdesign and the command of initialisation/mount/dismount of an optical disk must be adapted.
