How can use latest vibsdepot xml file for HPE

I want to add all vibsdepot to my vmware update manager according to follow document :

http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/getting_started.html

According to that doc we should use http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/index.xml that includes all and latest HPE value-add included in the HPE Custom Image. but after added , it does not contain drivers that resides here :

http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/hpe/feb2023/esxi-800-bundles/

Actually we can say it is not update .  What should I do now ?

Re: Query: How can use latest vibsdepot xml file for HPE

According to that doc the workaround solution is use that xml with define month but it does not work I am using this

http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/hpe/feb2023/index.xml

Accrding to this  http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/hpe/  the latest is for feb2023 but from jul2022 - feb2023  there is not any index.xml file

Re: How can use latest vibsdepot xml file for HPE

@baber1

If the http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/index.xml file is not providing the latest HPE value-adds, you can try the following steps to update it:

  1. Check if the HPE value-adds you need are available in the repository by visiting http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/hpe/feb2023/esxi-800-bundles/ in your web browser. If the files you need are available, proceed to the next step.

  2. Download the latest version of the HPE Custom Image for ESXi from the HPE website. This image includes the latest HPE value-adds and drivers.

  3. Extract the contents of the image and locate the VIB files that you need. You can find the VIB files in the vib20xx folder of the extracted image.

  4. Copy the VIB files to a local directory or a shared storage accessible by your VMware Update Manager (VUM) server.

  5. Log in to the vSphere Client and go to the Update Manager tab.

  6. Click on the "Import" button in the "Patch Repository" section.

  7. Browse to the directory where you saved the VIB files, select them, and click "Open".

  8. Once the VIB files are imported, they will appear in the "Patches" section of the Update Manager tab.

  9. Select the VIB files you want to use and click on the "Create Baseline" button.

  10. Name the baseline and specify the appropriate criteria for the patches.

  11. Attach the new baseline to the desired ESXi hosts or clusters.

This should ensure that you have the latest HPE value-adds and drivers for your ESXi hosts.

Hope this will help you. Let me know....

These are my opinions so use it at your own risk.
