Hello LP
Greetings of the day !
It appears to be a problem with the boot device . Please try to replace the same and see if that helps .

Re: HP proliant 380P server not able to boot, stuck in boot cycle
Hi,
You would have installed the OS on a logical volume. Can you configure that logical volume as a boot volume and check once. You should see a 'set boot volume' in Smart Storage Administrator (SSA) where you you can make this change. Select the vollume where you have installed the OS as the boot volume.

Re: HP proliant 380P server not able to boot, stuck in boot cycle
Since this server is legacy, not UEFI, you need a drive C for boot. This means a drive marked as bootable.
If you have a second drive the server should boot from, you need to mark it as active boot drive - you can only have one.
If you enter SSA you can set and mark one of the available logical drives as bootable.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Hi,
I tried installing on logical drive and run into another issue, now I am getting error for the disk and operation failed
Should I re-create a logical drive?

Re: HP proliant 380P server not able to boot, stuck in boot cycle
Hello,
Yes, does look like the logical volume will need to be recreated. try the clear config and recreate the new volume.
