HP CD Writer + 8200 (external)

Anyone know the Top copying speed for an HP CD Writer + 8200 (external). Right now it's showing 2X (300KB/s).... any way to make it run faster? I use Nero software. Thanks.

Re: HP CD Writer + 8200 (external)

Chuck,

Here is the documentation for the 8200e
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=lpg40280

Max write time was only 4x Write time is dependant on your media also, so verify that your media is either 2x or 4x.

Ciao,

I have heard of people h/w flashing the 8200 with 9100 firmware. I haven't tried that myself because I'm on a tight budget looking for a new job and don't want to sacrifice my only burner just yet!
