I am getting kick outer errors on the HPTOOLS diags and when you run the diags it fails on read/write tests and i am wondering if anybody out there has any ideas. I think i will need to replace the drive but i have not got a clue what the above error means..i have included the error report aswell.

Solution
it looks to me that the drive is not finishing the calibration task, every time you load a disk, the drive will calibrate the laser power it will need to write on the media, if this fails, it will not write.
for what I see the error occurs during the calibration.
I can suggest to try with a new media, or clear that media carefully.
if this do not solve, probably you will have to replace the drive

Thanks for the reply. The media was replaced but the same fault came up so we replaced the drive and everything has been tested and is 100% ok. We were going to clean the heads but decided against it as i have had more problems after they have been cleaned on previous drives over the years. Thanks for the help...
