T7303 error with HP CD-Writer Plus 8200e

My four day old 8200e is failing on creating audio CDs. It's always at the same place, track 7. I was able to create two good CDs when I started with this machine, the last three have failed. The system hasn't chenged in the four days since I installed the hw.

The failure has the the following error log:

T7303: TrackWriter error - Undefined or invalid parameter
T7728: TrackWriter warning - Operation continues
D0100: I/O error (05/24/00) - Command error - invalid field in CDB

Any suggestions.

Try putting the audio-CD first on the hard disk as wave files with Easy-CD Creator and test with the rewritable CD, you can erase this one if anything goes wrong.

Make sure your parallel port settings are set to ECP (in bios as well) and test the parportspeed in Easy-CD Creator.

And take a look at http://www.adaptec.com/support/faqs/bufunder.html
It talks about causes for bufferunderrun, but is valid for general copying as well.

I am having the same problem with mine. Try copying data to HD as well as lowering burn speed. I can't burn audio over 2x (and off the HD) on mine, and even then i sometimes get errors. I can't believe you hafta do this crap to record a fricking CD...i don't know if its the hardware or the software, but it sure makes me think twice about buying HP ever again...
