Technical notes on firmware changes
Hi,
could anyone give me a hint where to find some technical notes on firmware changes (i.e. Drive C1113F firmware 1.61 to 1.62)
Which problems are fixed with this newer firmware?
Furthermore is there a compatibility matrix for Jukebox-Controller-Firmware in combination with Drive-Firmware?
(i.e. preventing to use newer drive-firmware with an old controller-firmware)
Thanks
Otmar

Re: Technical notes on firmware changes
Otmar:
I also did not see any notes/details for the firmware update. I dont think this is a "new" version of the drive???
If you are using the Library and Tape Tools, I am sure the L&TT will make the decision on what profile or personality to load with your drive or tell you that you can/cannot load a spcific bios. Give it a try

Re: Technical notes on firmware changes
Thanks John for your fast answer.
I also knew that its not "new" but I would be glad if I could know what has changed.
So I need some notes about that.
It would be enough if I can get the information where to find these notes, in case of future updates. So Im able to know if we had to update our customers (150) or not. We did so, and now we are glad that almost 30% of the failures disappeared.
But for future update plans, I will know why I update :)
