Aruba/HPE 5400r 802.1x issue with passthrough
Unsure if this is going to get me anywhere, but I'm having trouble with 802.1x and Microsoft NPS. Specifically everything is configured in NPS as well as the voice VLAN on the switch. When 802.1x is not on the port, passthrough works just fine. VLANs are assigned. The phone has an IP with the correct VLAN (10) and the workstation also (which is on separate vlan 1).
As soon as i turn on dot1x to the port, and reboot the phone, the phone will no longer receive the vlan data or the neighbors and will also not receive an IP but the workstation passthrough works fine. I'm having trouble finding any suitable solution to get this to work.
I know I can probably turn on MAC auth as well as dot1x on the port to circumvent this issue, but I would really like to get dot1x working on both the phone and the workstation.
I will also say that if they are plugged in separately, they receive the correct vlan and IP infromation. It's only when dot1x is turned on and the phone has to go through the authentication process again with a machine plugged into the secondary port on the phone.
