sftp issue while trying sftp from my local user to azure portal

no matching mac found: client hmac-md5,hmac-sha1,umac-64@openssh.com,hmac-ripemd160,hmac-ripemd160@openssh.com,hmac-sha1-96,hmac-md5-96 server hmac-sha2-256,hmac-sha2-512,hmac-sha2-256-etm@openssh.com,hmac-sha2-512-etm@openssh.com
Connection closed

 

Can you please help with the connectivity issue.

Hello Pjoshi_1992,

Please note that sftp functionality is provided by SSH and the protocols being used for communication between the nodes depends on version of SSH software installed on both of them.
Most probable reson for this message could be due to SSH version mismatch between the client(local) and the server(target) - here azure portal.
Azure portal may have newer/latest version of SSH installed compared to SSH version installed locally .
You may update SSH to a newer/latest version which would help you .
