Will HP NNM Permanent Password Certificate expire? More information

Hi all,

On 31-Jan-2019, I found alert message from HP OV trapd.log which show as below:

1548903984 1 Thu Jan 31 11:06:24 2019 ATMService M Network Node Manager l
icense: type (Permanent) expiration (Fri Jan 01 07:59:59 2021) nodes (Unlimited)
annotation (NNM_FULL PERM 31 DEC 2020 1 M * N);1 17.1.0.59179231 0

I wonder the above alert message is warning me to update license, could anyone can help?

Re: Will HP NNM Permanent Password Certificate expire?

Hi there,

Well I think the good news is that in the output it states:

Expiration Date: Not Applicable

and the reference to Dec 31st 2020 is only in the description field and this is not part of the license parameters.

I would therefore think that this is a permanent license.   Unfortunately, these licenses are so old and so out of date/support that any decode tools that were around are no longer available for us to check the license with.   If you need to be 100% certain then I would suggest cloning the NNM server and then altering the date on the clone and bring up NNM to see if the license expires or not.

  All the best

Hi HP support,

May I ask you that is the below License permanent or not? Is it still valid after the date 31 DEC 2020?

# NNM_FULL <return>

670985ac8b34.02.0f.02.71.2b.00.00.00 zzr5rv9gtrxrv6t5uac8ffk6qassrg

i "NNM_FULL PERM 31 DEC 2020 1 M * N" "5.XPERM" <return>

Hi @JKWL,

NNM is part of a different company named " Micro Focus " . So you will need to repost your question to the Micro Focus Community at https://community.softwaregrp.com/
