ProCurve Manager Plus 2.2 and non Procurve devices
Hello,
I've installed PCM+ to a customer with some Procurve switches and other 3Com switches.
The software works very well with HP devices, but doesn't discovers 3Com (at snmp level).
All snmp parameters are correct. The 3Com monitoring software discovers all devices (3Com and not).
Does anyone has the same problem and some solution ?
thanks in advance
regards Davide

Re: ProCurve Manager Plus 2.2 and non Procurve devices
This might not be related but I have PCM+ v2.2 and all was working fine until Autoupdate package #4 for PCM 2.2 installed itself. Now non-HP devices are not all discovered. For instance I have 80 or so Cisco wireless access points; about 40 are discovered. When I try and add the rest by hand it says a particular device is already there and I do I want to overwrite it. This all worked fine before, so snmp settings and other permissions I am happy are correct.
I think this update has broken PCM+'s ability so distinguish ethernet addresses (or maybe serial numbers) of non-HP kit. This is quite annoying. I've disabled autoupdates now as a consquence. That'll teach me. I've installed Autoupdate package #5 and that's not made any difference.
Anyone else had a problem like this and care to suggest a solution?
Drew
