Setting EST t time zon on Procurve 2824

Why are all thee forums classified as A-series  or e-series ???  one gets the inpression these are all for the wireless product line ??? 

If I selected SWITCHING ..I gotthe old A series and eseries ..and I think all the threads in there were for the wirless stuff ! ?

Anyhow I am having a tough time figuring out how to properly enter the TZ setting (using telenet)  on my PC2824  I see they want minutes......... and they expailn to use - for west and + for east.....

I am in the EST which is +5:00      but the lpus sign will not enter ..is it a forbidden character ?  I see it will let you put the minus sign in there .....

any help would be apprecaited

What you need to use is -300 for the timezone setting (5*60 min), and we're behind, not ahead of GMT.

time timezone -300
time daylight-time-rule Continental-US-and-Canada
sntp server 0.0.0.0
timesync sntp
sntp unicast

I agree on the changes HP has made on some things (forums, device names, etc).  So far I find it really confusing, hopefully it will all become more clear fairly soon!
