Any way to change IP address of RDP server?

I recently had a situation where our RDP server had to change IP addresses. After almost a full day of hacking, we decided the only way to reliably get this thing working again was a complete re-install of RDP. (PXE boots kept pointing to the old address, even after we corrected that the actual scripting jobs did not work right.)

Has anyone successfully changed the IP address of their RDP installation, and if so is there a documented procedure?

To change the IP of the RDP server you should:

1. Edit the default.cfg which is in the root of the express share. Replace the old IP address with the new.
2. If your not using multi-cast to connect to the deployment server, recreate your PXE images or boot floppies with the correct IP of the DS.
3. If PXE is on the DS, use the PXE Configuration Utility to change the PXE Server IP address.

Re: Jason - thanks for the reply. As a matter of fact we did (through trial and error) do all of your suggestions.

However, the old address was still lurking around somewhere. When we tried to do a simple O/S scripted install, at some point during the procedure it started pointing to the old address and went into a reboot loop. Maybe I needed to create a new job from scratch (it was just the default w2k scripted install).

Mark, it sounds like maybe you recreated the initial deployment PXE image and forgot the Managed PC PXE image. Is this possible?
